2012 is a 2009 action disaster film based loosely on the 2012 phenomenon and directed by Roland Emmerich. The film has an ensemble cast, including John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Woody Harrelson. The film was distributed by Columbia Pictures. Filming began in August 2008 in Vancouver. The film is set in a modern setting and only brushes on Mayanism and the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. The budget of the film is $200 million, making it the 2nd most expensive film in history.

In 2009, the sun emits a massive solar flare. American scientist Adrian Helmsley (Chiwetel Ejiofor) travels to a copper mine in India to meet his friend, Satnam (Jimi Mistry), who has discovered that Earth’s core temperature is increasing rapidly. Adrian returns to Washington D.C. and submits a report to Chief of Staff Carl Anheuser (Oliver Platt), who immediately takes him to see US President Thomas Wilson (Danny Glover).

In 2010, Wilson tells other heads of state and heads of government the situation at the 36th G8 summit and billionaires all over the world buy plane tickets for one billion euros apiece. In 2011, the original version of the Mona Lisa at the Louvre in Paris is replaced with a decoy and is sealed away to keep it safe from the impending disaster.

The story jumps ahead to the summer of 2012. Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) is a divorced father who works as a limousine driver and writer. His ex-wife Kate (Amanda Peet) and their children Noah (Liam James) and Lily (Morgan Lily) live with her new boyfriend, plastic surgeon Gordon (Thomas McCarthy).

Jackson takes Noah and Lily on a camping trip to Yellowstone so Kate and Gordon have enough time with each other.

While at Yellowstone, Jackson meets Charlie Frost (Woody Harrelson), the host of a radio segment that claims the Mayans’ prediction is true.

Enormous cracks then begin to develop along the San Andreas Fault in California and disruptive earthquakes occur in the San Francisco Bay area. Despite government assurances that all is fine, Jackson grows suspicious.

After hiring a private plane, he drives to Kate’s home to save his family and Gordon from the impending earthquakes of the Earth’s crust displacement. Jackson quickly collects his family and convinces Gordon to fly the plane out of the city. Los Angeles then collapses into the Pacific Ocean.

When the plane runs low on fuel, they are forced to land in Wyoming and Jackson splits off to find Charlie, who possesses a map to ships being built in order to save humanity. Yet Charlie has gone to the mountains to watch the approaching catastrophe.

After getting hold of the map they discover that the ships they are searching for are in China. Jackson and his family leave as Yellowstone Caldera erupts, killing Charlie during his live broadcast. More

Fast & Furious (also known as Fast & Furious 4 in other countries) is the fourth film in The Fast and the Furious film series. It is an interquel set between the second and third films. The film was released in the United States on April 3, 2009. The plot connects with the original film of the series from which Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster reprise their roles.^[1][2]

After a successful run at hijacking fuel tanks on the highways of the Dominican Republic, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) has become an international criminal. Dominic’s partner Han (Sung Kang) decides to flee to Tokyo, and Dominic feels compelled to leave his girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). One day, in Panama, Dominic receives a phone call from his sister Mia (Jordana Brewster), who tells him that Letty was just murdered. Dominic returns to Los Angeles to find out who murdered Letty. After Letty’s funeral, Dominic asks his sister to take him to the site where Letty’s accident occurred. At the scene, Dom finds traces of nitromethane residue that can only be purchased at one body shop in L.A.. At the body shop, he finds one of his old racing counterparts that, after being coerced, leads him to a man named David Park. Dominic finds Park and hangs him out of a window threatening to drop him and vowing to kill anyone that stands in his way of avenging Letty. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an upcoming superhero film based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Wolverine that will be released in most countries by May 1, 2009. The film is directed by Gavin Hood and stars Hugh Jackman as the title character. It is a prequel to the X-Men film trilogy, focusing on the mutant Wolverine and his time with Team X, before Wolverine’s skeleton was bonded with the indestructible metal adamantium. The film was mostly shot in Australia and New Zealand.

Premise

Set roughly twenty years before X-Men, the film will focus on Wolverine’s violent past,^[1] and his early encounters with William Stryker (Danny Huston). Alex Jones, for those who don’t know, is the self-described “tip of the spear” in the Infowar. Jones is a nationally-syndicated radio host with a daily listening audience in the hundreds of thousands and he has directed and produced over 20 documentary films.

The most recent film, The Obama Deception, could in time be remembered as one of the most important films in our history. The movie is indicative of being rush-released, which it clearly was. Timing is everything. Mr Jones knew what he was doing in getting this film out to the masses fast and I would venture is evidence of its critical timeliness at this moment in history. Never have so many people been so tantalizingly close to waking up their fellow man to the realities of the world we live in. This film may be the one to finally do that.

Barack Obama, despite what the Madison Avenue spin doctors try to tell/sell us, is not the ONE. I think Alex Jones and his film The Obama Deception might just be the ONE. The title of this film is slightly misleading because it is not a film about Obama per se, his questionable character, or even the legitimacy of his presidency in light of the questions surrounding the true origin of his birth. It does cover some of his campaign messages/promises and his subsequent reversals upon assuming office. Notably he has shirked on his commitment to withdrawal the troops from Iraq and also not to appoint lobbyists to his cabinet. More info

Dragonball Evolution is a 2009 American live-action film adaptation of the Dragon Ball media franchise being produced by 20th Century Fox. The story centers around the adventures of the lead character, Goku, around his 18th birthday. The film began development in 2002, and is directed by James Wong and produced by Stephen Chow. It was released in Japan and several other Asian nations on March 13, 2009, while it will not be released in the United States until April 10, 2009 in the United States.

Justin Chatwin was cast as Goku, and James Marsters portrays Lord Piccolo, the antagonist of the film. A video game of the same name will be released in March/April for the PSP.

Synopsis

After his grandfather’s death, Goku (Justin Chatwin) goes on a journey to find Master Roshi (Chow Yun-Fat) and gather the seven mystical Dragon Balls before the evil Lord Piccolo (James Marsters) can. Along his way, he meets Bulma (Emmy Rossum) and Yamcha (Joon Park) who both join him to help him with his mission. When arriving at Roshi’s place, he is not welcomed with an embrace but has to fight Roshi. Roshi soon learns that Goku is the grandson of Gohan (Randall Duk Kim) and thus trains him to prepare him for the ultimate battle with Lord Piccolo to prevent him from collecting the powerful Dragon Balls.More info

Push is a 2009 American science fiction thriller film directed by Paul McGuigan. The film stars Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning, Djimon Hounsou, and Camilla Belle. The plot centers around a group of psychic people, as well as others with varying powers, who band together to attempt to take down a government agency that is using a dangerous drug to enhance the powers of Movers, Pushers, Watchers, Wipers etc.

The film has received generally negative reviews by critics on its original release with critics claiming the film to be “visually flashy but hyperkinetic and convoluted”.^[2]

During the opening credits, a narrator (Dakota Fanning) tells us how those with abilities have been involved with the government since 1945. The opening scene shows two Movers, Nick Gant and his father on the run from the “Division”. Realizing that escape is impossible, Nick’s father tells him of a vision he received from a Watcher; a girl will give him a flower and he is to do what she says in order to “save us all.” He then throws him through an air vent as Agent Henry Carver (Djimon Hounsou) of Division arrives. Nick’s father then fights the Agents, taking out only two (on screen) before he is killed while Nick escapes.

Ten years later, the American Division is testing a potentially deadly augmentation drug on a Pusher named Kira (Camilla Belle). While the test seems like a failure, when the doctor moves in to check Kira’s pulse, she reveals herself to be alive (the one and only to ever live). Knocking the doctor out, Kira steals his card and a syringe which has the drug in it and escapes with the help of her enhanced abilities and interference from a nearly-catatonic Watcher. More
